CASE OF THE MONTH

In February 2020, a criminal case was filed in regards to the supply of cars from our Client. The Claimant filed with the accusation of approximately 236 vehicles missing from the shipment on arrival. The claim was filed as “Breach of Trust” with an amount totaling AED 180 million. The Pubic Prosecution maintained this case until January 2021.
During this time period, Mr. Abdelaziz Alhanaee provided an extensive research into the claimants’ accusations, ensuring every part of the claim was reviewed with the upmost due diligence. Once witness statements and related documents were investigated and reviewed, Mr. Abdelaziz Alhanaee was sure that this case did not have sufficient evidence to with stand in court and presented directly to the Public Prosecution. Mr. Abdelaziz Alhanaee prepared a memo, outlining the findings with justifiable reasons as to why the claim should be dropped. In May 2021 the Public Prosecution agreed with the findings and reasons which resulted in a judgment in favour of our Client.
This was another positive result for Abdelaziz Alhanaee Advocates and Legal Consultancy, proving that even in the most difficult and complex cases the team are able to find the desired outcome thanks to extensive focus and commitment.
